Class Management

Class Management
Today technology has become a major driving force in our life.
we rely most of our life's business on the use of technology.
Ranging from making phone call, traveling distance places, making daily food,
and handling various works. we use technology at home, in the office, at schools,
and everywhere. In terms of schools, Technology today has contribute so much leap
that make education today develop faster and faster.
But unfortunately technology may never be able to replace human teacher
to educate (Wright, 2013). It is only tool that may help teachers to ease them
in educating people.

For teachers and students, today there are many tools available,
that may help in teaching and learning process. We have been
discussing and trying some of them during this course. Yet, it
will be much more useful if we can specifically learn and try the
tools that will help us to better prepare to be teachers and manage
the class. Managing the class is very important because a better
classroom management is an important component in creating
an effective classroom environment (Jones, 1996: Manning & Bucher, 2012).
In this session we will look at some tools that are available
on the Internet that can help us store students learning
progress information, communicate with students and parents,
distribute quizzes, making wikis, sharing files, buidling class web, scheduling etc.

you can see the example of my classmanagement that use 3 apps in learning process:

Online Lesson Plan

(Lesson Planning )

lesson plan is a teacher's detailed description of the course of instruction or "learning
trajectory" for a lesson. A daily lesson plan is developed by a teacher to guide class learning.
Details will vary depending on the preference of the teacher, subject being covered,
and the needs of the students. There may be requirements mandated by the school system regarding the plan.A lesson plan is the teacher's guide for running a particular lesson, and it includes the goal (what the students are supposed to learn), how the goal will be reached (the method, procedure) and a way of measuring how well the goal was reached (test, worksheet, homework etc.).

Soundcloud

SoundCloud is an online audio distribution platform based in BerlinGermany that enables its users to upload, record, promote and share their originally-created sounds.
Among SoundCloud's key features is the ability to access uploaded files via unique URLs, thus allowing sound files to be embedded in Twitter and Facebook posts (note: as of 12 August 2015, mobile devices require a SoundCloud app to play a track within Facebook, an issue confirmed by SoundCloud in November 2016). A file may be embedded by clicking a share button corresponding to the target site (e.g., Twitter). This contrasts with MySpace, which does not have reshare buttons.
Registered users are allowed to listen to unlimited audio and may upload up to 180 minutes of audio to their profile at no cost. SoundCloud distributes music using widgets and apps. Users can place the widget on their own websites or blogs, and then SoundCloud will automatically tweet every track uploaded.
SoundCloud depicts audio tracks graphically as waveforms and allows users to post "timed comments" on specific parts of any track. These comments are displayed while the associated audio segment is played.Users are allowed to create playlists (previously known as "sets"), and to "Like", "Repost", and "Share", to "Follow" another user, and to make complimentary downloads of their audio available.

The following are examples of podcast on the topics of cultural differences and culture shock. check them :

Teaching Speaking with technology:
In recent years technology has beend used to assist both teaching and enhancing language learning. Certainly as language teacher we need to know when and how to use the technology for that purpose. The following presentation slides outlines some ideas about how the technology can be used to teach/improve speaking skills in an English class.
Now let's try and feel how it is like practising speaking/rehearshing with web-based leanguange learning technology. So, Go to this link below:

 Web-based speaking practice
You can login with your facebook account. having logged in you can start joining courses that you can select from various available ones. Then select a video. After that, you can start watching the video, learn the words, practice pronouncing the sentences, and record your own voices online. Then, you can compare your voice with the natives who speak in the video. Interesting right? Now...can you do that without technology? Will that be easier or more difficult without technology?
There are other alternative technologies that you can try and they are still counting I believe. Click below for such informations:

6. Teachnologies for teaching speaking
If you are not familiar with SKYPE check the following links:
